About Community Associations Institute (CAI)
What is CAI?
Community Associations Institute (CAI) is a national, nonprofit 501(c)(6) association created in 1973 to educate and represent America's 205,000 residential condominium, cooperative and homeowner associations and related professionals and service providers. The Institute is dedicated to fostering vibrant, responsive, competent community associations that promote harmony, community and responsible leadership.
CAI awards professional designations for association managers, works on legislative issues of national importance, researches subjects related to community associations and publishes an extensive library of books, periodicals and brochures related to the industry. A catalog of those publications is available online at www.caionline.org. CAI has more than 17,000 members in 58 chapters throughout the U.S. and in several foreign countries.
